Neighbor Aide Program

Neighbor Aide Program

Difficult financial hardships can strike without notice. This can often mean the choice between paying utility bills or buying necessary prescription drugs or food. That’s why LCUB partners with The Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County to help families in our communities through our Neighbor Aide program.

What is Neighbor Aide?

Neighbor Aide is a program administered by LCUB and The Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County that helps families in need pay their utility bills.

How can I help?

Neighbor Aide is funded entirely by customer donations and LCUB matching funds. LCUB collects donations from customers on monthly bills. You can give whatever extra you feel you can to help those in need and LCUB will automatically add your donation to your monthly electric bill. Additionally, LCUB matches up to $1000 of all customer donations. See the screenshot below indicating where on your monthly bill you can enter the amount if you wish to contribute.

If you would like to contribute a regular amount on a month-to-month basis without having to remember to fill in an amount, please click here to fill out the enrollment form and we’ll gladly add the amount to your bill each month.

How to Help

What if I need help?

The Good Samaritan Center of Loudon County exclusively administers this program and determines participant eligibility. While LCUB matches customer contributions to Neighbor Aid, we are unable to seek assistance on your behalf. If you find yourself in a difficult financial situation, please contact The Good Samaritan Center to learn more about the services and assistance programs they provide.

What if I have more questions?
